- The Assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.:
Martin Luther King Jr was an Africa American activist and was the for front of the Civil Rights movement. He went to give a historic ‘I Have a Dream’ speech in 1947. On April 4th, 1968 Martin Luther King Luther Jr was shot at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis Tennessee. The murderer James Earl Ray killed him with a single shot from Remington rifle.

- Josephine Baker The Spy:
Josephine Baker was a famous African American entertainer that people loved. In the late 1930s Baker was experiencing some heavy racism. She marries a Frenchman Jean Lion and moved to Paris. She then renounced her U.S citizenship. In the 1940s Joesphine became a spy for allies.

- The Harlem Renaissance:
The Harlem Renaissance was an African American culture movement movement which started in the 1920s. Located in the heart of Harlem in New York City. The Renaissance that associated with Jazz and Music.

- First of First: Jackie Robinson:
Jackie Robinson was the first African American professional Baseball Player.

Hattie McDaniel:
Hattie McDaniel is the first African American female to win an Oscar. McDaniel won Best Supporting Actress for her role in ‘Gone With the Wind’ playing ‘Mammy’ in 1939. In the 1930s Jim Crow Law was still in effect, which meant Hattie wasn’t allowed to attend the Oscars ceremony.
