  • The Bronx Zoo:

The Bronx Zoo opened up in 1899 on Southern Boulevard in the Bronx. In the 1900s the zoo was beginning to put on different exhibits that started different animals. In 1906 The Bronx Zoo put an African American man on display in the Monkey exhibit.

  • Little Italy:

In NYC there are a lot of different places that have cool names that represent different parts of the city. Everyone knows about Little Italy, but people are familiar with Little Italy that’s in Manhattan. Real New Yorkers know the real Little Italy is in The Bronx, NYC. On Arthur Avenue in the Bronx is the home of Little Italy. Arthur Ave is where you can find an Italian community and authentic Italian food.

  • Empire State of Mind:

The Empire State Building is such a historic building in NYC, it has its own zip code.

  • Murder on 9/11:

On September 11th, 2001 New York City changed forever. The twin towers were attacked by two planes and killed and damaged people in our city. Because of the impact of the attack. Every police station, fire department and EMT was occupied with the people of NYC. What people don’t know is, that shortly after midnight Henryk Siwiak was murdered in Brooklyn NYC. This is a homicide that was never solved.
